Have Faith In Your Faith

Your faith walk had to have a beginning. So, how did your walk of faith begin? Was it a quiet draw or an insatiable drive to search and find the One your soul longs for? However, your journey began. It started with a need and that need was activated by faith. Faith that we were made for more and could experience more. That there is something to be found and worth the effort of finding. We are relational beings. God did not design us to live without the companionship of others and without the companionship of a divine father. We can ignore the void of not having our spiritual needs tended to. One can regulate this innate need and live a life never having experienced it. But if you are a soul that is seeking and willing to embrace it, you will need your faith to propel you forward. Once you have taken the leap of faith, it is upon faith that you continuously rely. Trusting in yourself in that you have chosen wisely to have faith in your need for faith. That by having faith to seek God

Instrument of Good and an Example of Hope

Devotional titled instrument of good and an example of hope

Have you ever felt dismayed regarding your impact on the world? Who are the people that you admire? Do you study their habits and methods of living and apply them to your life?

What about in the world of ministry? Have you ever admired and found yourself in awe of the gift of someone's talent in the church? Have you ever prayed to the Lord to make you less ordinary but extraodinary in a specific area too?

We all desire to be seen and to feel accomplished. In today's world, it is easy to access some type of self- help message that encourages us to find peace and acceptance with who and what we are in the world. However, there is always a spirit of comparison that aims to steal away our self-love and acceptance, and replacing it with a desire to be like somebody else.

The amazing truth that many of us fail to realize is that although our talents are diverse and marvelous in each other's eyes, the goal should be to be an instrument of good and an example of hope. If each of us operated daily with this intention to show kindness, give respect and honor where honor is due and to  share our testimony of survival and victory we would inspire others to be diligent in their pursuit to be kind and share the hope that they too can overcome from whatever they may face.

We are already as children of the most High equipped with greatness. We should be living as the personification of holiness and perseverance because of the great One living on the inside of us. As ambassadors of the most High, we should radiate with self esteem without need of comparison for the goal  upon which we measure ourselves should only be to strive to be instruments of good and examples of hope in a dark world.

Journal Entry:

Dear Lord, I am learning more and more that what I do is not as important as how I do it. How I see myself and how I live my life should reflect of your presence in my life. I need to stop striving to be like someone else instead of being me. I need to be pleased to be a person who is kind and encouraging to others. This should be the mantle from which to measure the success of my being. That in all things and through all things, I maintain my ability to be used for good and to inspire good in others. Lord, assist me in being content with being of good will and of moral character.

Now it is your turn to let your soul speak. Are you struggling with self-acceptance? Do you feel you should be more in life? How can you be content with being a child of God who is kind and of good character? Grab your pen and pad and share your story with the Lord today.
