Have Faith In Your Faith

Your faith walk had to have a beginning. So, how did your walk of faith begin? Was it a quiet draw or an insatiable drive to search and find the One your soul longs for? However, your journey began. It started with a need and that need was activated by faith. Faith that we were made for more and could experience more. That there is something to be found and worth the effort of finding. We are relational beings. God did not design us to live without the companionship of others and without the companionship of a divine father. We can ignore the void of not having our spiritual needs tended to. One can regulate this innate need and live a life never having experienced it. But if you are a soul that is seeking and willing to embrace it, you will need your faith to propel you forward. Once you have taken the leap of faith, it is upon faith that you continuously rely. Trusting in yourself in that you have chosen wisely to have faith in your need for faith. That by having faith to seek God

A Door To Hope

Remember childhood? Do you ever stop and recall the memories and feelings when days seemed longer and hope and joy could easily be found? Do you remember when spring and summer arrived we could get lost in the joys of eating fruit or eating popsicles in the yard way after dark? What about days in the park when you laid on your back and drew images in the clouds? Simple joys and endless wonders are in the life of a child but so was the comfort when fear and new changes came to disrupt what was familiar and safe.

As a child, there was nothing more secure than being in the arms and presence of a trusted loved one. Their embrace, their voice, and even their laughter could bring calm to most storms. In addition, loved one’s like parents and grandparents had the ability to redirect minds to attend to new possibilities and options. Leaving the door of their minds open to try and to explore new things.

Do you ever wish to return to the days of simple solutions and the comfort of a loving embrace to soothe and provide safety? Do you ever wish to return to the days where exploration and imagination and sometimes redirection can lead you on a journey of great hope and adventure? Although we cannot turn back the hands of time, we can leave a door of hope open in our hearts. We can practice in prayer and in communion with God to leave behind the heaviness of decisions and the hardness of life and begin to dream and imagine new joys while resting in the arms of the Lord.

We cannot return to our youth, but we can restore our ability to dream and to play in our hearts and our minds. Reopening a door that has remained closed due to the cares of this life is a way to bring a refreshing wind into our sometimes dark and tedious days. If we could purposely take time to dream, to explore, to be playful in our thoughts and imaginations, we can open a door to living a more hopeful and joyful life. If we could talk to God like we did with our little best friend while eating ice cream, telling Him all about our inner wants and most outrageous dreams. Or creating a vision board of dreams and destinations, bringing them to the Lord for help and for guidance on how to fulfill them. Let’s dare to restore our childhood behaviors and actions and bring them into our present lives so that we can always keep a door of hope open in our hearts to dream and to pursue.

Journal Entry: I need a refreshing. Every day is filled with tasks and duties. What I wouldn’t give to spend more time dreaming and imagining myself engaging with the people, places, and things that would bring more life to my life. I want to recalibrate my life with not just agendas but with imaginations and plans of fulfillment. Help me Lord, there is more to this life and I want to experience it. I will dream and I will pursue with your help.

Now it's your turn to let your soul speak. Grab your pen and pad and begin listing the unspoken or buried dreams the reside within. Then in prayer seek the Lord for ways to bring these dreams into reality! God bless you!
