Without fail, each day rings in the song of birds singing their morning tunes. No matter the type of bird, be it large or small, they sing a melody so sweet and unique to them. Some sing long, some sing in quick bursts, but there is no mistaking the song of a bird.
Isn’t it amazing that each day they arise with a new song to sing? How do they have no memory of the woes and challenges of the day before? What enables them to arise with such hope to sing a new? If this were not so, can you imagine a world where we were no longer greeted with these melodic tunes?
Have you heard their tune today? Has the wind swept to you these angelic sounds of hope? God is a God of great intention. He has masterfully designed ways of sending messages of inspiration to us, but we must be vigilant to seek out these hidden in plain sight gems. God is setting an example before us to begin anew with a soul that is full of hope. Endeavor to treasure hunt and to capture all the good things that our heavenly father has provided.
The bird does not know what tomorrow will bring, and yet each day it sings. Child of God, I do not mean this to be a superficial message of just put on a smiling face, for the trials of this life are truly hard. This message is to remind us all to continue to dream, to pursue goodness with all your strength, to find a joy deep on the inside that propels you to press on to build the life of your dreams.
Just like each bird has an innate tune that must be released and heard, so do you. There is a hope song that lives within that should not be quenched. Daily, our goal should be to give our souls the permission to live from a place of hope. Letting our hope song minister to us throughout the day.
We do not have to live hostage to the challenges of life. We can sing in the midst of our troubles. By daily cultivating our hope song we are demonstrating our belief and our expectation that today something good will happen. Just as the bird exists to live and to sing fully each day, so can we.
Has the melody of life dimmed your inner light, where you are no longer hopeful or expect good things to happen to and for you? Find your inner song again. Hope lost can be found. God has placed inspiration all around you and in His word. Seek to be renewed today so that your days will be filled with hope and wonder, regardless of the circumstances.
Journal Entry: Dear Lord, the weight of living has caused me to grudgingly move from day to day. I have buried my dreams and resolved myself that hardship and sorrow are my only companions. Lord, wash over my soul and let a fresh wind sweep away the residue of pain and leave me with a song of hope that can carry me through each day. This is my earnest prayer.
