Have Faith In Your Faith

Your faith walk had to have a beginning. So, how did your walk of faith begin? Was it a quiet draw or an insatiable drive to search and find the One your soul longs for? However, your journey began. It started with a need and that need was activated by faith. Faith that we were made for more and could experience more. That there is something to be found and worth the effort of finding. We are relational beings. God did not design us to live without the companionship of others and without the companionship of a divine father. We can ignore the void of not having our spiritual needs tended to. One can regulate this innate need and live a life never having experienced it. But if you are a soul that is seeking and willing to embrace it, you will need your faith to propel you forward. Once you have taken the leap of faith, it is upon faith that you continuously rely. Trusting in yourself in that you have chosen wisely to have faith in your need for faith. That by having faith to seek God

Faith Stronger Than Grief

There are seasons and situations that arise that seem to knock you out of alignment. Your senses and even your gravity seem to be impaired at the onset of an unexpected event. While, in the midst of such trauma, you search for calm and you search for answers.

There is nothing like feeling pain and a lack of control all at the same time. Pain is debilitating and relief never seems to come quick enough. Regardless if the pain caused by illness or the sudden distresses of life, the grief that comes with experiencing pain and trauma causes one to seek help and an end to the suffering at all cost.

So, what do you do when you believe in God but find yourself in such despair that you doubt that peace and security will ever return? How do you walk out a life that has hijacked your emotions and threatens to leave you with more wounds and scars? The only thing to do is to tread on and press through the pain.

There is nothing glorious about walking through pain. It conjures up feelings and emotions and questions one usually would wish to not have to feel or address. These are the times you wrestle with God for meaning and for healing. And yet, God frets not, nor does He hold it against you, the wave of sentiments that come toward Him in the presence of great suffering. For He can handle your pain and your questions because He knows your faith is greater than your grief.

God has given each of us the gift of himself in the form of His Spirit. This Spirit works on the inside, creating and fortifying the holder to do what he or she believes is the unimaginable, even in the middle of great pain and disappointments. His Spirit strengthens each of us to face, endure, and to overcome the most crippling of circumstances. Therefore, we all possess a great Spirit to confide in and to push us through our valleys and shadows of grief. For the Spirit that worketh on the inside is stronger than any pain and its having faith in that, that will enable us to make it through to the other side.

He knows that you will see a brighter day, for He plans to be there to see you win. Therefore, soldier of the King, walk on. Your faith will make you whole. God will lead you out of the valley and into your place of rest and victory. Trust Him and trust your faith in Him. God bless you and keep you.

Journal Entry: Why Lord? I can’t understand this pain. In spite of my despair, I can say that I do know you. In you do I place my heart and my deliverance. Lord, I'm so fragile. I must rely on you to keep me, hold me, and to equip me to press on. I can’t see past this pain, so I cling with all that I am to you. Please help me to leave the valley and into a garden of peace and rest.

Now it’s your turn to let your soul speak. Grab your journal and write how your faith is proving to be stronger than the current grief your bear.
