How do we honor a gift from a King? What would be a comparable gift worthy of our gratitude? This is a question we, as Believers must address. For we have the gift of life, salvation, and fellowship because the King of Glory loved us; chose to send His son for our ransom and reconciliation.
How do we comprehend such a love, such an offering? There is a duty to all recipients of this great love to honor this sacrifice. He adores us, for we are His beloved. We are never far from His thoughts or from His protective covering. We are children of His heart, precious and worth the investment into our souls as He patiently waits to be reunited and never, ever separated from us again.
There is a risk of forgetting the enormous affection and patience of a loving Father. Our Father sits high and looks low, seeking to protect and to lead His children in paths that will lead directly to Him. He cares so deeply for us. He shows us He is waiting for us, and while He waits, He showers us with banners and songs of love.
So how do we show our gratitude to a God who is always in pursuit of ways to draw us nearer to Him? We must in turn commit our ways, our lives, our affections towards Him. We must endeavor to renew our vow of love and commitment in all that we say and do, with every day God graces us to breathe. Daily, God pursues and protects to show us His presence in our lives. Our actions, in return, show that we stand with Him. We honor the principles He set before us, and that we walk fully under the wings of His love.
What more can we give such a generous God but to give our best efforts to live for the pleasure and virtue of Him? If we choose to renew our vow to Him daily, then daily heaven showered with gifts of gratitude and servanthood unto the Lord of our lives and King of our souls.
Therefore, children of God, let’s let our lives radiate back to God the love He so freely gives to us. Allow God to smile down in pride for the children of His sacrifice who, through their lives, demonstrate their devotion to Him in word and deed. Worthy is the King of our vow of love and service to Him and to Him alone.
Journal Entry: Dear Lord, I pray my life is a love letter to you. I want my life to sing my song of love and commitment to you. You graciously pursued me and laid down your life for me, with my whole heart I recommit to live for your pleasure and for your glory.
