He Holds Me Steady

There is but one in whom we must remain and abide. Only one nurtures and sustains with both the natural and spiritual sustenance needed to survive and thrive in todays world.

The One in whom we can credit for our existence and perseverance through such trying times is Jesus. For Jesus gives us of himself freely and tirelessly. We are His beloved. He is the One who holds us steady in the face of pandemics, food shortages, energy crisis, civil unrest, injustice and the battles of our spirit and mind.

This is no ordinary love. This love fights for you, plans for you, covers you, and pushes you to rise through and above all that comes to tear down and to destroy you. You are because He is. He is the great sustainer and our champion. We are living and thriving because we rest in and abide under the shadow of His wings of love.

Because we are loved of Jesus, we are not walking this life alone. As His children, we are being guided, sheltered, and renewed daily by His spirit. Our ability to be steadfast in unsure times is because of the One who sits high and looks low is forever seeking to help His beloved to overcome and to prosper.

So, beloved, remember the One who is holding you steady. Seek to render up songs and praises of thanksgiving to the all seeing and ever present help of mankind. For if it were not for His unfailing love and steady hand of support, we could not be, all that we have become.

Journal Entry: Precious Lord, I am in awe of you. When I look over my life and all that I have come to be, it is because you hold me steady. You hold me through my pains and disappointments and you cradle me as you lead me through uncharted waters. You are the essence of why I can live with my head held high. Lord, you are the very source of my being and with my whole heart; I say thank you.
