The art of pursuit of a loving God is unlike anything you can know or imagine. The depth of His willingness to pursue you with secret messages and signs of affections is life changing. To know that the God of creation seeks to send notes of love and encouragement through His word and through unexpected places, people, and things. He is not like any man or like any Hallmark movie you have ever watched. His love, His pursuant endeavors to let you know that you are seen and you are loved are endless and are often times not truly understood.
It takes a lot of time and patience on God's part for us to learn His heart. We could never fully understand the depth of love He holds for His creations. We must continuously strive to come to a greater acceptance of the great lengths He takes to help us learn how to truly be loved and truly be cared for by Him. This type of love forces us to get to know love in a greater way. As we do, we find our heart becomes enlarged and we desire God even the more.
So, when was the time when you discovered that you didn't just love God because He is God, but that somewhere along the way you willingly and wholeheartedly gave Him your entire being? Meaning, it wasn't enough to just give God a "yes, I'll serve you", instead it has grown to be "I give you my mind, my heart, my soul, my will; it all belongs to you" without hesitation but with all sincerity and thanksgiving.
When did it dawn on you that despite the pain and traveling down unknown paths, that you gave your heart and being away to God, becoming totally and truly conquered by Him? When did you realize that no position, fame, or friendship could tempt you to want to be without Him? So much of the Christian journey is spent discussing the trials and pains of being ambassadors for Christ, but more time should be spent in sharing the love story that is developing daily between you and your Heavenly Father as we suffer and grow for the Kingdom.
Daily He pursues you and shares inspiration and direction to keep you close to Him. And each day you find yourself letting go more of you, for the more of Him. There is a special and beautiful depth of relationship that is forming each and everyday that can not be compared to any relationship that exist here on earth. Yet, as we keep living, holding hands with the love of our heart and soul, we discover that the love we have come to need has no bounds, but is ever increasing. Isn't that amazing? What a discovery in knowing that the more you let go and cleave to the one your heart longs for, the more of himself He gives. There is no greater love than to be chosen and to continuously be loved by God. There is no greater choice and gift mankind can give to themself, then to master the art of releasing themselves into the arms and will of God.
Therefore, walk on with the King and watch your love story continue to bloom!
Journal Entry: Lord, I realize that we are called to fulfill a great commission to win souls for your kingdom so that you can begin your love journey with each and every one of them. You desire to pursue us with such a love we have never known. I am so thankful I can sit here today saying I am proudly a conquered soul of the King. With my whole heart and being I freely give it to you. I walk hand in hand with you daily seeking to learn your heart and bask in the depth of love you have for me. Thank you for this privilege of releasing all of me into your precious and loving hands. From now on, it's me and you, come what may, for there is no other place I'd rather be.
