Have Faith In Your Faith

Your faith walk had to have a beginning. So, how did your walk of faith begin? Was it a quiet draw or an insatiable drive to search and find the One your soul longs for? However, your journey began. It started with a need and that need was activated by faith. Faith that we were made for more and could experience more. That there is something to be found and worth the effort of finding. We are relational beings. God did not design us to live without the companionship of others and without the companionship of a divine father. We can ignore the void of not having our spiritual needs tended to. One can regulate this innate need and live a life never having experienced it. But if you are a soul that is seeking and willing to embrace it, you will need your faith to propel you forward. Once you have taken the leap of faith, it is upon faith that you continuously rely. Trusting in yourself in that you have chosen wisely to have faith in your need for faith. That by having faith to seek God

Do The Next Right Thing By Faith

Don't be weary in well doing? Has this scripture ever been quoted to you or have you ever told this to yourself? After it was said how did you feel? If you are a true follower of Christ you believe His word and try your best to obey His instructions, but our emotions and our minds make this hard to carry out.

Living a life of faith in real time, with real issues, real challenges, and real consequences is a huge undertaking even when your heart and mind are full of sincerity and willing intent. So, what do you do when you call to remembrance the current journey and the destinations yet forged that lend you to question where is the joy, where is the reward for trying to do good? And why is it it so hard to do the right thing by others and towards yourself? Often times these questions are met with words from the Lords manuscript advising us not to be weary in well doing.

God does not set us on journeys that He does not intend for us to succeed. He requires faith in every step made, despite not knowing where the steps culminate towards. When He tells us not to be weary I don't believe He was saying do not reflect and do not share your emotions,  I believe God is telling us, don't stop there. God in his manuscript shares the trials and burdens of carrying the weight of doing the right thing. It is indeed hard. It is sobering. It can be lonely. It can feel burdensome and never ending with little joy and praise along the way but there is no excuse for not doing good anyway.

God has equipped us to be like Him. And His ways are not mans ways. We, in our daily lives and interactions with others must continue to keep doing the next right thing towards others and towards ourselves with a pure heart in partnership with God. Intent on believing beyond what we see and what we feel that the outcomes of living a life of doing the right next thing will yield an abundance of reward not only in this life but in the life to come.

Being good and doing good takes courage, power, humility, and patience. With Gods help and His example by faith we keep taking a faith step forward.  We choose to keep doing the next right thing with a pure and obedient heart so that we can eventually see the true meaning and the reward of servanthood.

We are Gods handiwork and His vessels of good in the earth. How then, despite it being hard and unending would we not choose to press on in faith and righteousness if in the end we can say with our hands, with our hearts, with our wills, with our whole selves we kept fighting to do the next right thing so that we could be a blessing and a reflection of the God we serve? For when we do, with each step forward,  by faith, our weariness in the process becomes our strength and we become the apple of Gods eye for He can count on us, despite the hardships to be trusted to do the next right thing!

Journal Entry: Dear Lord, if I am honest I do get weary in well doing. Often times I get discouraged because I can't see the benefits but feel all of the sacrifice and courage it takes to keep choosing to do the right thing. I thank you for your patience in teaching me how to live and reflect your character in the life that I live. It's hard but I still want to please you. Help me to be more secure in my efforts knowing that you see all and you honor my desire to please you in all of my ways.

Now it is your turn to let your soul speak. When you

get weary in well doing what scripture do you lean on to encourage you?

Journal about it today!
