Anointed To Help

In todays world there isn't a shortage of information readily available to be consumed regardless of the topic or interest. But what stories and images promote us to love and to encourage one another to create a world of compassion and duty to our fellow man?

There is a great call to action to not be in a constant position of consuming but to be an agent of good. There is a great call to influence our world to bring change, hope, healing, and kindness to the areas of our lives for indeed as a Believer we are anointed to meet this call.

Many times we shrink our need to act and leave it to people we believe are trained or more qualified and gifted to do so but the world needs to see the light God has given to each of us to shine through acts of kindness to both the Believer and the unbeliever.

We are missing great opportunities to rise to the needs of our brothers and sisters by getting lost in the routines of our lives. Instead, let us remember we are the chosen ones to seek and to help mankind knowing that God has equipped and anointed our voice, our hands,  and our minds to bring hope and light into this world. 

Recall what is was like when you received an unexpected letter of encouragement in the mail or when someone sent flowers just because. How did you feel when you got that phone call when you were at a low point and you were instantly renewed? Or are you someone who wishes that someone would see about you and to care about your thoughts and emotions but is often overlooked because you are perceived to be strong?  

We are all in need of being heard, seen, and uplifted. Life is hard for us all. If only we could remember that we are equipped to see and to serve one another. Therefore, let's take on the challenge to each one be the one we wish somebody would be to us. Let's show kindness by reaching out and encouraging someone this week. Let's let the love of our Heavenly Father shine bright through us as we remember that we are a family and there is help in the family because we've been anointed to be a help.

Journal Entry: Dear Lord, It's me again. I have had the blessing of being a recipient of your servants of love who chose to see me and to meet my need so that I could be encouraged and renewed in my daily walk. Help me to see people and to seek to use my hands, my heart, and my mind to serve your people for indeed I am more than able because you have anointed me and commissioned me to love and serve as you have loved and sent help to me.
