Have you been walking and living for the Lord for some time? Are you a person who can say that trials, hardships, and disappointments has not deterred you from continuing to live and to love the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords?
If so, you may just hold the key to someone whose faith is stretched and in need of the inspiration and motivation you possess to press on but often times we don't value the power within our own stories. Many times we hold our own stories hostage believing that they mean only something to ourselves but there is a power and authority we acquire when we have endured, survived, and trusted in God during a hardship that should be used to lift those whose faith is low.
When was the last time you shared or sat in the presence of someone who just spoke of their journey of living for Christ? When was the last time you knew of someone struggling but because you did not suffer in the same circumstance you didn't seek them out to share with them what you know about God and the tools and strategies He gave to you to help you through?
There is a system of support built into the kingdom of God and it's in our voice and in the power of our testimony. Our testimonies hold the influence and the impact someone needs to build hope and to seek their own testimony of deliverance.
As ambassadors for the King we are also instructed to strengthen the brethren in their times of need. During this season of constant change and challenges we as the body of Christ need to speak strength and fortify each other to live in courage and to believe in hope standing in the authority of what God has proven to each and every one of us through our unique trials and circumstances.
When someone else is weak and in need of strength let's ensure our light is shining so that we may be found by those in need. And when we are found let us be found willing to speak in authority and in assurance to the power of standing firm and enduring hardships for we will find victory on the other side.
Let our voices of victory encourage others whose faith is low to lean on the faith that we have built up within ourselves to sustain them while they strive to increase their own. Let us be a safe space for people to lean into in their times of distress helping them along to seek and to expect that God will keep His promises and He will lead them to victory and lay them besides still waters if they faint not. Let us remember that we need each other. We need the gifts, talents, and testimonies of what God has and is doing in the lives of His children but we must be willing to share them and use them for the benefit and strength of the body of Christ.
Journal Prompt
Lord, I have been through some things and I have survived by your grace. I now have the authority to speak on what I have endured and to speak on the God that got me through but help me with my timidity. Lord someone is in need of my testimony to increase their faith and to bring comfort during a difficult time. Help me to be empowered not to sit on what you have done for me so that I can share it with your people. And Lord, please lead me to those in the body who can encourage and lift me to grow and press on in you. Help me to be open to sitting in their presence and to learn the lessons you have taught them along the way. Lord we were not meant to walk this journey alone. Help us your children to link arms and use the power of our testimonies to build each other up and strengthen us for the journey ahead.
