Have Faith In Your Faith

Your faith walk had to have a beginning. So, how did your walk of faith begin? Was it a quiet draw or an insatiable drive to search and find the One your soul longs for? However, your journey began. It started with a need and that need was activated by faith. Faith that we were made for more and could experience more. That there is something to be found and worth the effort of finding. We are relational beings. God did not design us to live without the companionship of others and without the companionship of a divine father. We can ignore the void of not having our spiritual needs tended to. One can regulate this innate need and live a life never having experienced it. But if you are a soul that is seeking and willing to embrace it, you will need your faith to propel you forward. Once you have taken the leap of faith, it is upon faith that you continuously rely. Trusting in yourself in that you have chosen wisely to have faith in your need for faith. That by having faith to seek God

Trust is an essential ingredient to any true relationship and our relationship with God is no different. Trust can only be cultivated over time when the character, actions, and behaviors of the one we're in relationship with can be experienced. What is your story of trust with God?  How has God proven He is worthy of your trust and worthy of being in relationship with?

Often times, God is thought of in terms of His delivering abilities. We often fail to recognize the proliferation of His character and grace operating in the earth and in our lives. Daily, He showcases His marvelous works and far too often we fail to acknowledge them or sadly we take them for granted.

God has proven to be a God of consistency and grace. He is always available to hear and answer our prayers and faithful to keep the seasons operating, the sun to keep shining and setting, the moon to keep its glow, the oceans to keep producing despite the hurt and harm man continues to inflict upon it, and the will to keep the earths form and rotation without it running into the stars or other planets. God's goodness is all around us and it behooves us to give Him his due praise and recognition.

But where would we be without witnessing and experiencing the goodness of God's inherent character? What a loss it would be for us to not experience His goodness and care for us. What if He removed His placement of encamping angels all around us? Where would we be if the faith and trust we bestowed upon Him to keep us clothed, fed, and sheltered were to fall on deaf ears? What if the God we served was not consistent in His ability to protect our minds, our health, and our deepest secrets? Where would we be and what kind of world would we be living in if His character wasn't worthy of our trust?

Thankfully, we do not have to find this out. The character of the God we serve only produces good and promotes our continued faith and trust in Him. It is for us, the beloved recipients of the abundance of a loving and giving God, to slow down enough to be mindful of in whom we trust and why.

So, let us all use this holiday season to prioritize praising and giving thanks to the God who has showcased through His word and insurmountable deeds towards His beloved creation that He is a God in whom we trust because of the character of who He is. Let us strive harder to honor the acts of love He shows to us by living with a heart of thanksgiving and a ready testimony of praise and gratitude for the privilege of walking with and experiencing the character of God in our daily lives.

For it is by Him and Him alone we live and move and have our being. He, and He alone, affords us the ability to live a life full of His grace and mercy and abundance of provision. But it is in our ability to think on the character of God and how His character is demonstrated in our life and in the earth that we remember why we trust Him and why He is so deserving of our love and devotion.
