A Crowned Thorn

What is the value of a thorn in our Christian journey? First, we must identify what a thorn is. According to the Dictionary one definition describes a thorn as “a source of continual annoyance or trouble”. A thorn can cause an immediate pain from its puncture or it can cause constant irritation and distress. Thorns that appear as a source of trouble are usually not welcomed companions on our daily quest. But the thorns we encounter are useful despite their irritations and disruptions. Thorns come to challenge and to strengthen your faith, your character, and your witness as a child of God. Thorns are the mechanism from which you gain more than you lose. Thorns are the pathway to reaching higher heights and deeper depths of sanctification and glory. With each thorn that attaches itself to your life, you become more and more like Christ. You become an overcomer of the thing that came to irritate or to disrupt your growth, but it, in turn, propels you into greater achievement in holy livi...

Holy Ghost Walk With Me




Help and comfort are needed in great supply as we live this life full of constant ups and downs and key decisions.  It seems like our prayer times are full of pleading and grieving out our hurts and struggles. Despite the endless things to ponder and seek help for, God told us He would send us a comforter to aide us and support us.

The beauty of God’s provision for a comforter is that you have a constant companion. A companion ready and able to listen and to encourage whatever the time of day and regardless of the circumstance. What a precious gift to be given and what a very reliable and essential part of each and every day.

The Holy Ghost is our special friend and the constant lifter of our bowed down heads. It is our built in supplier of Gods reassuring words and heavenly promises. Oh what a great friend indeed and one we depend on more and more as we learn of its value.

So today we reflect on the gift of the Holy Ghost given to us. We take refuge in its company as we live hand in hand and heart to heart. We never want to be apart and thus we humbly request that the Holy Ghost continues to walk with us, listen to us, hold our secrets and our pains and help us to turn them into dancing. May the lord continue to strengthen us for the journey ahead as we press on with the gift of the comforter by our side.
