What is the value of a thorn in our Christian journey? First, we must identify what a thorn is. According to the Dictionary one definition describes a thorn as “a source of continual annoyance or trouble”. A thorn can cause an immediate pain from its puncture or it can cause constant irritation and distress. Thorns that appear as a source of trouble are usually not welcomed companions on our daily quest. But the thorns we encounter are useful despite their irritations and disruptions. Thorns come to challenge and to strengthen your faith, your character, and your witness as a child of God. Thorns are the mechanism from which you gain more than you lose. Thorns are the pathway to reaching higher heights and deeper depths of sanctification and glory. With each thorn that attaches itself to your life, you become more and more like Christ. You become an overcomer of the thing that came to irritate or to disrupt your growth, but it, in turn, propels you into greater achievement in holy livi...

We Are Characters In The Story Of Jesus Today!





We are living characters in the greatest story ever told. We are key characters in the storyline of great ambassadors of Christ such as Paul, Moses, John, Micah, Mary, Elizabeth, Ezekiel, and (insert your name here). Yes, you are part of the masterpiece chosen to live and to promote the name and truth of Jesus.
As the great heroes of the bible lived their lives of transformation, trial, fear, and victory they were all chronicled for the world to read and to receive the message of Christ. We, the Believers of today must see that we are living out a great story just as they did. Our stories our legacies of service and commitment to the king and master of our hearts and souls is worthy of recognition for we carry in our life stories the testimony of deliverance, perseverance, and service just as the great men and women of the bible. So what does your story look like?  Are you the women at the well? Has the lord performed a great miracle through you as he did Moses? Are you like the leper who was made clean and you can't help but share with anyone who will listen how God transformed you and gave you a new life to lead? 
Share how God is doing a work in and through you just like in the bible days. Share in detail the chapters of your life. Share the masterpiece of redemption and service for the kingdom.  Share your story of how God uses ordinary people in phenomenal ways to be a living testament of who God is and can be for those who accept Him. And take the time to reflect on the key role you are playing in telling the story of Christ today in this present world. 
Just as the great heroes of old you now are the chosen to live out the blessed work of Christ.
Journal Entry: Pick a hero from the bible and reflect on their journey of deliverance and service for the kingdom. Then take the time to share your masterpiece of how God transformed you and uses you in great ways as a testimony of Him.
