A Crowned Thorn

What is the value of a thorn in our Christian journey? First, we must identify what a thorn is. According to the Dictionary one definition describes a thorn as “a source of continual annoyance or trouble”. A thorn can cause an immediate pain from its puncture or it can cause constant irritation and distress. Thorns that appear as a source of trouble are usually not welcomed companions on our daily quest. But the thorns we encounter are useful despite their irritations and disruptions. Thorns come to challenge and to strengthen your faith, your character, and your witness as a child of God. Thorns are the mechanism from which you gain more than you lose. Thorns are the pathway to reaching higher heights and deeper depths of sanctification and glory. With each thorn that attaches itself to your life, you become more and more like Christ. You become an overcomer of the thing that came to irritate or to disrupt your growth, but it, in turn, propels you into greater achievement in holy livi...

Pray For The Watchmen Of Our Souls






Shepherd. Prayer warrior. Interceder on our behalf. A constant present representation of hope, perseverance and faith to hold on, to live on, to be and become all we can while living this life of a Believer so that we stay well encouraged and able to finish this race.  We have been given a great gift instituted by our great father who saw fit to ensure we have spiritual overseers, guides of inspiration and direction to help us and enable us to see the world and our experiences through the spiritual lens and spiritual wisdom afforded to them by our heavenly father.
We often do not think about what it takes to be fortified to be the effective watchmen of our souls. And we often do not extend our prayers of gratitude and prayers of strength consistently for the work they are yielding purposefully on our behalf. Let’s remember that in times of crisis and in times of peace the watchmen's of our souls, appointed by God are always working, praying, researching, beseeching God on our behalf and are due our mindfulness towards the magnitude of their labour for and towards us at great sacrifice and great cost. We need them and rely on them as the administers of the spiritual knowledge and the conduit used to learn God’s heart and God’s mind. So, let’s remember the people behind the mission of God. Let us take the time to think deeply on the people who are actively and willingly serving as the watchmen of our souls and thank God for them.
Journal Entry: Lord help us to esteem and to remember to pray for your appointed soldiers of our souls.  Help me to pray with fervency and consistency with thanksgiving to keep the watchmen's of our souls encouraged and fortified to keep us well fed with the spiritual food needed to live out this life of a Believer well.
