Mothers On Assignment

First, giving honor to God for gracing us to see another Mothers Day. It is by His abundant love and His amazing example that He instituted the role of a mother and we thank Him for it. The art of motherhood is tied intrinsically to the love of our heavenly father and is not developed with ease. A mother is a woman on assignment and forever in training.  She is designed to and flourishes when she is willing to wait on instruction, sit at the Lord’s feet, seek knowledge and always be vulnerable to the needs of others but equally to the needs of her own heart and spirit. By living in obedience and dedication she becomes endowed with a strength, a grace, a level of wisdom, a degree of integrity, and a spirit of perseverance that is far beyond human understanding.     

Mothers who uphold their heavenly assignment operate to fulfill the position God has called and equipped them to do. Mothers are positioned to influence, lead, nurture, inspire and guide. It is when a mom is living and abiding in alignment with God letting His love and instruction flow freely is when you see the amazing work of a mother on assignment fulfilled.

We are living in a time of great transition. Many of our values and norms are changing at a rapid pace. As we say goodbye to the designated time of year when when we stop, reflect, and appreciate the role of our mothers let’s not forget that their labour for legacy in the development of discipline and character of God continues.  Mothers of today as with each generation are on assignment in vary perilous times.  It with great honor and respect that we uphold the mothers who are producing Godly children and future kingdom representatives in this present world.

Moms who operate firmly in their God given position of influencing and nurturing their children in the discipline and love of God have the privilege of watching their legacy grow and develop right before their eyes and we as a body of believers are encouraged and inspired that the legacy of a Godly mother on assignment who lives in virtue, with integrity, discipline, and love is ever present for us to see and admire. Let us continue to honor these great women of God and pray for their continued strength as they fulfill this holy assignment.
